We did not stay Positive: Nothing, we could not enter the property. Negative: I did not like that the property was empty when we arrived so we could not get in. Nobody answered my e-mails or calls and still have not after 4 days. We had to book another hotel on Sunday night and cut short our stay in Harrogate by one night. We have had an e-mail on Monday to ask how we are enjoying the stay, I replied there was no stay but have had no answer to that e-mail.

Would not stay again Positive: The bed was comfy Negative: There was a HORRIBLE stench of weed, the view from the window was a disgusting unkept messy garden. The cutlery and crockery provided was not clean, not even a tea bag was left for guests. We found nail clippings on the floor, the shower and toilet both appeared to be quite dirty and potentially mouldy. The keysafe was incredibly stiff to open. There was absolutely zero signs of any cleaning whatsoever. I would not recommend a stay here for anyone, not worth the price paid! I am extremely dissatisfied!

Nightmare Positive: Nothing Negative: The towels were dirty as was the duvet and sheet the bed base was over 30 years old and grubby the overall cleanliness was terrible mould on shower doors toilet seat dirty underneath soap watered down cold at night old dirty table and chairs in corner which are part of the outside patio when you walk to annexe patio covered in rotten fruit from trees weeds all over patio I could go on my advice is aviod worst place we've ever stayed dirty dirty a d pokey

Shabby, not worth what asking for Positive: cotton sheets - that was all! Negative: The place was quite cheap for the area. It was priced too high for the standard tho. As standard, one would expect certain things to be in the room. There was a fridge, microwave and kettle. There was no tea or coffee to make yourself something on arrival. Would be nice to be able to arrive and just make a cuppa and doesn’t cost much. There’s no bottled water to be able to fill the kettle up as the tap water is poisonous with fluoride (no one should be drinking that) and even if you wanted to drink the poisonous water the sink in the bathroom was so small you can’t get the kettle in it. The room it self was clean but clearly no one had checked it in a while as lots of hanging spiders and their webs in the bathroom and shower. The shower heads were VERY mouldy. The toilet is so close to the wall you can’t not sit on it properly and this I found uncomfortable. The paint work was so old and tatty. Stains all up the walls, patches on ceiling. It’s not been touched in years. No carpet or rugs on floor which is fine but no mats by bed either so carrying dirt into bed on feet. The furniture is old and tatty. Used outside garden chairs inside but the state of them didn’t make me want to sit on them. The garden and area where the annexe is was unkept, ugly and messy and dropped fruit all outside the entrance that hasn’t been cleaned before arrival. I had to ask for heater so he turned heating on remotely but it was put on too early so woke up hot. No information about heating. I had to turn fridge off at night as it’s right next to bed as it was making a noise. TV is about 30 years old. No hairdryer in the room. Mould in shower especially the small shower head (thankfully the bigger one wasn’t too bad that I felt I could use it) The bed moves about at the slightest touch, rugs or stopper needed. The pillows were cheap and nasty, all different sizes and different clumpyness. Awful to sleep on. I paid £200 - £100 too much My advice for the host is to revamp it!

Positive: Location was good, near to all the places we wanted to visit Negative: No toilet roll, no light in bathroom, sink and shower blocked, only one threadbare towel, generally dirty and dusty, we went and bought towels and bed linen and cleaning products...we left it cleaner than it was when we arrived!!
