Stunning Lodge with Hot Tub on Private Lake

Very enjoyable, quiet and relaxing! Positive: The lodge was lovely, kitchen and living space was exactly what was needed for a girly weekend away. The host was exceptional. Negative: Whilst not a particular problem, if I was finding fault (and I really mean finding for fault!) the decking needed a lick of paint and a few more bedside lamps would have been helpful but did not impact the weekend away in the slightest.

Fabulous stay, despite being a little disappointed with the property. Positive: Very spacious, property soon got lovely and warm. Lots of kitchen equipment and cupboards. Negative: It needed some TLC and maintenance. There were lots of cheap cover up fixes. No attention to detail. Outside space was tatty, empty plant pots and unattractive peeling wooden furniture

Great Location, Friendly and Informative Owner, Spacious and Good Value for Money. Positive: Mandy the owner provided clear instructions and photos which made it very easy to find property. Mandy was extremely helpful and responsive to all our questions before we arrived. The location was great, close to Leads and York, so was perfect for our needs. The rooms were good size and there was good sitting around, eating and kitchen space. Plenty of hanging and drawer space. Outside are was lovely but sadly not time of year for us to enjoy. Could not be closer to station. Mandy was delightful at all times and encouraged us to contact her with any questions. Negative: Three rooms share a single bathroom while the master bedroom has an ensuite, this did not work so well for us. There are two showers, one in each bathroom. However the bath in the ensuite is really a huge Jacuzzi bath and unusable as a normal bath. As we had a toddler and baby to bath, this was a bit of a problem. The mattresses could do with upgrading as we found them soft, but that is personal preference. We let the owner know that the dish washing machine was not always keeping the crockery, cutlery, glasses, kitchen pans or oven trays clean so she was going warn the cleaners to check this. Internet is very slow and we could not get the TV to work on it.
